About Valley Pilates

Why Pilates?

Every class is a full body workout meaning you get the most out of your class experience and you will work muscles you may not have noticed in a while!

If you come regularly (at least weekly) you will notice improved posture and alignment and your technique improving – if you continue coming you’ll see results very quickly.

A typical Pilates workout includes a number of exercises and stretches. Each exercise is performed with attention to proper breathing techniques and abdominal muscle control. To gain the maximum benefit, you should do Pilates at least two or three times per week.

  • Improved posture

  • Increased body awareness

  • Improved physical coordination and balance

  • Improved flexibility

  • Relaxation of your shoulders, neck and upper back

  • Increased lung capacity and circulation through deep breathing

  • Stress management and relaxation.

Amanda Shone

Amanda is a Gold Coast girl living in Currumbin Valley who loves to travel and the outdoors, she has a love for cooking, people and being active. Amanda practised Pilates as a nimble 20-year-old, through pregnancy and straight after. She loves the benefit to both mind and body.

Raising four little kiddies, Amanda understands the juggling of family and taking the time to exercise. Therefore, she aims for her classes to be a slice of calm in a busy day and a chance for you to unwind, leaving the studio feeling calmer and stronger.
