July Check-In – How are you doing?

We're at the halfway point of the year already! The shortest day has come and gone and the mornings are getting lighter and not so hard to get out of bed. Time to check in on those goals you made back in January.

So often we make our goals, have an initial burst of energy but then life happens and we get to July and decide it's too late. It is never too late! We're all about making movement a habit, fitting health and exercise into your lifestyle and making it something you enjoy. You don't have to wait until January, Monday or Spring. Start now - get in touch and see how we can get you on track to feeling great by summer. Maybe our July challenge will be the inspiration you need.

Juicy July is all about levels. Learn to use our studio props to support, modify and enhance your workout. Learn why we use the various props, what they add to our workouts and how they can change what muscle groups we are working with subtle changes and various levels. Also learn to use what works best for you to support your personal Pilates practice.

Props to support our practice:

  • Small weights (1 or 2 kg).
  • Pilates Balls.
  • Pilates long bands and resistance loops.
  • Boot bands
  • Sliders
  • Magic rings
  • Blocks
  • Rollers
  • Squishy small mats
  • Massage balls
  • The barre

All our props serve a purpose; sometimes to add a challenge, sometimes to add support, always to add variety, and often to better work our various muscle groups. My aim is that by the end of this month you can all understand the various props, why we use them, and feel confident to grab the extra support to aid your practice. Your Pilates journey will be enhanced by understanding how we can support your body and to have the tools to do this each time you come along. If you haven't yet, join us for July.
